Choosing Great Events

Themed Wedding Party Rental Ideas

When planning a wedding reception, you'll most likely pick a theme to keep the look and feel of the event cohesive. Party rentals for items such as decorative and seating elements can help you bring your reception theme to life.

Not only can party rentals help set the scene for your reception, but they'll also save you money. Instead of having to buy the costly items, you can simply rent them for a fraction of the cost. As an added benefit, most rental companies will also deliver and then help you set up and break down the items, especially if they are large or bulky.

Party rentals are versatile in that you can find what you need for both indoor and outdoor event venues. Some rentals will even help make you and your guests more comfortable throughout the event, especially if it's being held outside. In that case, be sure to only use items recommended for outdoor use to avoid damaging the product.

The following are some party rental ideas according to a wedding reception theme.

Tropical Beach Theme

If you love the beach but don't live near one or your wedding is being held in the middle of winter, a tropical beach theme is a way to give your venue an island vibe. You can transform even the more basic venues, such a reception hall, into a beachside escape with the right items.

Start by renting tablecloths and cloth napkins in vibrant hues of palm green, sunny yellow, turquoise, lime green, or coral orange. You can coordinate the look with matching chair tie-backs and bows. Hold napkins together with seashell or seahorse-shaped rings as a whimsical touch.

You can also rent either realistic-looking faux tropical plants or blow-up ones, depending on the look you're going for. If you're holding the event outside, light up the night with rented tiki torches for an authentic look.

Winter Wonderland

If a winter wonderland theme is more your style, you can easily create an enchanted forest look with the right party rentals. Start by stringing white lights around the venue, and covering the tables and chairs with silvery-white linens.

You can also rent tall silver branches to resemble winter trees and decorate them with icicle-shaped ornaments. Place them in pots throughout the space or use them as creative table centerpieces.

Some party rental companies also offer large sparkling snowflake decor, which you can suspend from the ceiling. They'll reflect the string lights, giving the event space a magical ambiance.
